• Maintaining / developing network maps
• Installing probes
• Implementing correlation rules
• Adapting probes to different types of equipment
• Integrating with other IT systems.
• University degree or comparable knowledge in technology related field
• Any certification on Unix/Linux/Windows constitutes an advantage
• At least 1+ years prior experience in network administration – CCNA level (Optional)
• Experience in using/administering of any network management system (NNM,Open View Operations,Cisco Works, or any other telco management system) constitutes an advantage
• Operating Systems:Unix,Linux,Windows (2-3 years)
• Understanding of the protocols and technologies relevant to network management including SNMP, TCP/IP,UDP, WEBM,QoS,MPLS,etc
• Understanding of network management and distributed networks
• Broad based experience with network management tools, like as SolarWin,Openview,Netcool,Ciscoworks, and tools related to the configuration and management of a combined voice and data network
• Programming/scripting experience in Pearl,C, shell scripting
• Strong trouble-schooting and problem resolution skills.
