On behalf of our client, an international manufacturing company in the packaging sector with a global scope, with a strong focus on topics like quality and environment, we are looking for an Industrial Design Manager.
Aim of the job: Implementation and realization of new design projects / design changes according to customers-, quality-, time- and budget requirements.
• Customer consulting / service (visits, meetings, calls, mails, etc.) during design processes according to defined PrePrint process.;
• Participating in meetings with customers, agencies, suppliers for new designs and design changes;
• Monitoring of the entire print management process: first design meeting / entry of the design files and ends with delivering of the printing forms / creation of the print order for production.
• Check and control the technical design orders (blueprints) by using programs like Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Esko ArtPro, etc.
• Feasibility study of new designs / design ranges considering design guidelines and specifications;
• Development of new designs according to printing standards;
• Scheduling of project timings with customers, order center, cylinder suppliers and agencies;
• Collaboration with other interfaces like production or global technology in regards of projects;
• Usage of SAP for the entire preprint process (creation of print numbers, maintenance of timings, creation of cylinder orders, etc.).
• Technical University degree;
• Previous experience in industrial design and engineering: 3 – 5 years experience;
• Technical knowledge and experience in printing technologies and processes (e.g. rotogravure printing, creation of a reproduction and color management, flexography, cylinder engraving, etc);
• Project Management experience – advantage;
• Computer skills: Adobe (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc) and Microsoft Office (Excel, Powerpoint);
• Experience reading technical drawings;
• English and German language – advanced;
• Customer orientation, excellent communications skills and quality orientation.
