The job holder shall adhere to following regulations and rules: Fiscal Code, Methodological Norms of the Fiscal Code, Fiscal Procedure Code, Company law, Double Tax Treaties, OECD regulations and Romanian Statutory Accounting regulations
- Agrees the VAT amounts (input and output VAT) with the corresponding VAT amounts booked in the TB
- Consolidates in an Excel file the VAT amounts in accordance with the template of the VAT return
- Prepares the consolidated draft VAT return for the company
- Perform reconciliation and reasonability tests on the VAT amounts included in the TB, VAT journals, VAT return
- Submits electronically the consolidated final VAT return for company to the fiscal authorities;
- Fills in the monthly tax payment request to Treasury with the VAT to be paid for the reporting month
- Archive relevant documents related to the VAT reported in the VAT return
- Establishes VAT treatment for invoices issued by non-resident suppliers of services
- Promptly replies to the requests from the Head of Indirect Tax
- Makes available to the audit firm all necessary information related to her tasks
- Acts as a contact for the branches regarding any Indirect Tax issue
- Submits the documents requested by auditors and control bodies in the field of Indirect Taxes
- Acts as a contact person within the Indirect Tax Department for all related departments and divisions
- University degree in Economics
- Fluent in Romanian or Romanian as a mother language
- Advanced level of English
- Good knowledge in the relevant Romanian and International Tax law
- Good software skills (MS Office and general knowledge of the Accounting software in use).
- Very good analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
- Initiative skills
- Ability to work within a team and to respect deadlines
