For one of our clients, top multinational in the oil and gas industry, we are currently searching for a motivated and ambitious person, to fill in the role of In-House Lawyer.
- Handles day-to-day/routine commercial contracts (as the case may be with other functions); contracts disputes and corporate matters.
- Interacts with all other CEU GeoMarket support functions and departments ensuring the Legal Department¿s involvement in all matters that may have a legal impact to company.
- Provides legal support to operations in order to ensure compliance with local regulations and Corporate Code of Ethics, including carrying out Operations Assurance Reviews.
- Assists the CEU Legal Counsel to implement procedures, practices, guidelines and templates.
- Collaborates with the CEU Legal Counsel in litigation management (i.e. follow up, updates, etc).
- Assists the CEU Legal Counsel in managing and supervising Outside Counsels.
- Participates in the Legal Department training and development initiatives and completes all assigned training.
- Moderate involvement in business unit planning and operations as part of the Management Team.
- Assists to supervise and coach an Administrative Assistant, where applicable.
- Participates in assigned Legal Department Management strategic initiatives; uses and contributes to the LawHub and assists with the maintenance and content update of the CEU GeoMarket Legal Web Pages.
Language Skills: Effectively fluent in written and spoken English. Other language skills (e.g. European Union) a plus.
Education: Undergraduate (with Honours) law degree from reputable university in Romania or abroad. Post graduate qualification a plus.
Professional Legal Experience/Expertise: 1 to 2 years relevant post qualification experience in a leading law firm or an international law firm or in-house counsel experience with a multinational company or a company with international operations. Oil and Gas legal experience and knowledge strongly preferred.
