Supervise the logistics group, to ensure that transportation, custom clearance, insurance and import/export activities are timely and properly completed:
- Plan, organize and control the daily work of subordinates, and ensure that all of them adhere to company policies and procedures. Set the daily/weekly priorities;
- Motivate people, appraise and develop staff and team concept;
- Ensure subordinates are trained, have the tools and support needed to complete the job required;
- Manage relationship with customs authorities and departments to ensure business continuity;
- Management of the customs broker relationship including review, selection and on going evaluation of the broker performance;
- Make sure that transportation procedures satisfy the diversity and nature of the goods to be shipped. Propose improvements whenever the case;
- Plan and order transportation, according to the best suitable ¿price-transit time¿ ratio;
- Identify, propose and negotiate best cost alternatives within contract limits;
- Plan the short-term activities;
- Participate in the information systems upgrades and developments;
- Participate actively in the budget cycles.
- University degree;
- Relevant experience (at least 4-5 years) in transportation, custom clearance and insurance and import/export activities represent a must;
- Relevant experience in work with different kind of suppliers;
- Leadership;
- Good communication skills;
- Positive attitude;
- Open mind person; responsible;
- Able to manage the multi task;
- Very good level in English;
- PC-very good.
