Our client is a well known Austrian company specialized in the production and distribution of plywood and hardboard.
To assist the growth in Romania our client requires an IMPORT SPECIALIST to coordinate all day-to-day import – export and purchasing activities.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Elaborates and verifies documents for shipment in accordance with Romanian legislation and internal procedures;
- Coordinate all day-to-day logistics activities required for the incoming transportation of products, via Seafreight, Airfreight and Roadfreigt Import.
- Organize EU and non-EU shipments in contact with the freight forwarders and customs authorities
- Be the interlocutor with local customs authorities / brokers and also internally for import issues
- Follow operations policies, procedures, standards and ensure compliance with transport regulations.
- Monitor, manage, follow all transport order from the entry (data entry, order and delivery date acknowledgement) and update of shipment status in close relation with the buyer / planner and order administration / customer interface
- Revises and draws reports on stock situation;
- Performs warehouse control including cost calculation of import goods, materials, ready products;
- Checks sales contracts and maintains the relation with Customers.
- Contribute to any improvements in the import activities
- University degree - technical or economical field is a plus;
- Previous experience in import – export operations;
- Good knowledge of Transportation and Import/Export processes
- Fluency in English
- PC Skills: MsOffice, Internet, E-mailers
