BrandUP Interactive has been contracted by its client to re-develop a cutting edge SaaS platform currently servicing high profile clients such as Apple, the BBC, Red Bull and Nike, with over 100TB of content delivered through the existing platform over the last 6 months.
Our mission? To redevelop, streamline, automate, and deliver a fully scalable platform supporting delivery, formatting and storage of up to 100’s of Terabytes DAILY to be used by Fortune 500 companies. We are looking for the best and brightest programmers, hackers and warrior code poets, to embark on a 2 month intensive build program to deliver a monument in user experience. Led by an experienced UK Apple Designer, we will be deploying latest technology and looking to set future design trends.
You will be working in a highly motivated, performance driven environment favoring personal communication, collaboration and support; over documentation, hierarchy and isolation. Using agile management principles, performance bonuses and team building, we are looking to create the ideal environment, driven by the challenge of a life time.
Ideal Candidate
You’ll need to be an all-rounder web developer with at least 3 years of professional experience, but we care more about capabilities than experience.
You should be fanatically passionate about the web, and ready to stand for the principles you believe in while being hungry to learn more about the new technologies and practices in web development.
Job Description
You will be in charge with designing a strong architecture using the latest technologies out there. By using the best design patterns you will ensure that the code you write will work under heavy load. You will be challenged to find clever solutions to arising problems.
You will be in charge with crafting the best semantic, standardized and beautiful code out there. You will be slicing neat PSDs but relying more on CSS3 than on the actual graphics (the designer will make sure everything is doable in CSS3).
Because we want to use the latest technologies and do not want to reinvent the wheel here are some features that the platform will have and some example frameworks that support them:
• A dynamic stylesheet language: Less, Sass
• Unit testing: Jasmine, Sinon
• Client-server communication: HTML5 API, Socket.io
• Html templating: Jaml, Mustache
• Code benchmarking: Benchmark.js
• Canvas and SVG
• Resource loading mechanism: Yepnope, LABjs
• Html5 storage: Lawnchair, Artemia
• Animation system: Scripty2, $fx

What you need to know:
• Expert knowledge of JavaScript
• Expert knowledge of CSS3 and HTML5.
• Expert knowledge of JavaScript design patterns
• Expert with cross-platform, multi-browser issues
• Experience using frameworks like Mootools, jQuery or Backbone.
• Experience building large scale JavaScript and HTML5 applications.
Is considered a plus:
• Familiarity with product development life cycles
• Familiarity with Amazon Web Services
• Familiarity with Git or SVN
• Experience with agile development methodologies
• Have contributed to open source projects
• Passionate about pushing the boundaries of interactive technologies
• High level of English spoken and written

• Must work on site at BrandUP Offices near Piata Romana, Bucharest.
· Minimum 1,500 euros net per month and over, depending on experience and suitability
