- Responsible for implementation, administration, maintenance, upgrade and monitoring of the HP-UNIX environment;
- Ensures stability, integrity, reliability, security and availability of the UNIX production and disaster recovery environment;
- Cooperates with DBAs and software developers;
- Responsible for the UNIX environment backup;
- Responsible for troubleshooting and solving problems in an UNIX environment and for creating support documentation for the HP-UNIX system infrastructure;
- Installs OS upgrades/patches and manages hardware upgrades.
- A technical or scientific degree/diploma
- Certification in UNIX administration is an advantage;
- Strong experience with HP-UNIX (at least 2 years of experience);
- Good knowledge of backup and recovery technologies;
- Good knowledge of networking;
- Performance monitoring and analysis skills;
- Experience with other UNIX systems is an advantage;
- Fluent in English (both written and spoken).
