Reporting to the Health & Safety Manager successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the implementation of ongoing effective Health & Safety programs to assure compliance with PepsiCo and Romanian requirements.
The essential functions include:
Assist in the development, implementation and co-ordination of programs that reduce risks, prevent incidents, and enhance employee awareness of health and safety issues;
Supervise the recording of all incident/accident information;
Assist in the factory Environment, Health and Safety Audits according to PepsiCo requirements;
Identify through a needs analysis the requirements for personal protective equipment;
Participate in the design and specification of new equipment;
Assist in the planning and organisation of in-house inspections for Environment, Health and Safety issues on a random and planned basis.
Assist with the training of employees to ensure that they fully understand the safety aspects of their job and the responsibilities that they have to themselves and their colleagues;
Stay abreast of new and changing legislation to ensure that the H&S department is fully conversant with the existing legislation, PepsiCo requirements and current trends.
Requirements:
Technical highschool; University degree preferred;
Professional certification in Health & Safety;
Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role, preferably in a multinational with a production site facility;
Good knowledge of Health & Safety regulatory requirements, concepts, and best practices;
Excellent coaching skills;
Good level of English is considered a definite plus.
