For our client, a leading Hotel from Bucharest, we currently recruiting a Pastry Head Chef to manage the activity within pastry-confectionary & bakery division and to lead a team of 10 talented pastry chefs;

You will need to be a strong communicator, to have strong leadership abilities and training skills; You should have the ability to supervise the team ensuring the smooth running of the section. Technical skills should be exemplary; flair and imagination must come through in every product, and balance and depth of flavors are all-important; but there should also be daring ideas, and they must work. There is no room for disappointment. Flavors should be accurate and vibrant, combinations and textures shows a faultless sense of balance, giving each product an extra dimension.

The ideal Pastry Head Chef should
-have previous 4 or 5 stars hotel experience (preferable experience in the same position on offer) as well as fantastic knowledge’s of kitchen management;
-deal with all aspects of pastry work including desserts, breads, petit fours, etc and will be able to delegate responsibility to a team and lead by example;
-have excellent creative skills, passion, flair and be innovative and the ability to plan menu's in line with the hotels different outlets.

*** those applicants with overseas experience within 4-5 stars hotels, cruise lines into an Assistant Head Pastry position have a real chance to fill the vacancy! For overseas nationals accommodation is provided; For nationals from outside Bucharest accommodation is provided too!
