The Head of the Credit Assessment Area must ensure the correct management of credit risk assessment, assumption and management processes, guaranteeing the level of credit quality granted by the bank.
Also review credit proposals for Corporate and SME clients, make recommendations to Head Office Credit Committees and ensure general application of the Bank’s lending policies and principles as well as industry best practices
The resource must also ensure the correct application of the Bank’s strategies in the analytical and evaluational procedures of credit granting proposals/requests presented by employees
He/she must also deliberate the granting of credit within the limits of the powers delegated, referring cases exceeding such powers to the relative superior bodies. The Head of the Credit Assessment Area must ensure periodic revision of the loans granted and report to top management on a regular basis
Support the team of experienced credit analyst within the branch network
Maintain updates of industry trends as well as monitor the development of large corporate accounts
Build financial and forecasting models for different industries and type of projects
Perform any additional analysis as requested
Coordinate 2 junior analists and a senior analist
st have a degree in Economics; master degree (preferable in finance, economics or risk management) or CFA would be an asset
have gained consolidated experience in a similar position within a credit institution and have optimum organisational and leadership skills- minimum 4 years
analytical skills and a general understanding of macroeconomic environment
Good organizational skills - ability to sort conflicting priorities and meet deadlines
Fluency in English/ ITALIAN (spoken and written)
