RESPONSABILITATI

The position is responsible for installing and configuring Oracle products (Oracle, PSFT, Siebel or Hyperion) necessary to meet the technical courseware requirements defined by Oracle Curricula Development. This position will also require scripting abilities to enable automated deployment of the technical environments. The position will also require troubleshooting skills necessary to resolve technical issues within the classrooms or on the grid. The position has high visibility within Grid Services and Oracle University and must be able to communicate effectively horizontally and vertically.
Distinguishing Characteristics:
The technical analyst 2 is a mid-level technical position in the GS Environment Delivery organization. This individual has experience with the installation and configuration of Oracle products and works under close supervision with Environment Delivery management. Independently resolves technical problems but may require guidance and direction from other Team Leads and/or Managers. Works within predefined workflow processes.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Duties include development and life cycle maintenance of Oracle University technical courseware environments.
- Participation in planning, development, deployment and life cycle management of all Oracle University courseware environments.
- Process documentation, development documentation and Operational Support documentation are a part of the daily duties of the position.
- Interaction between several Oracle LOBs such as Oracle Product Development, Oracle Curriculum Development, Grid Services Global Operations, Grid Service Innovation and Automation and Oracle University Product management is necessary to perform this job successfully.
- Troubleshooting of issues reported via Service Requests in the GS-DEVELOPMENT queue.
- Monthly Production Reports - update report that summarizes production activities for the team based on the template provided.
- Create and distribute Courseware rollout announcements.


CERINTE

- Installation /configuration knowledge of Oracle DB, Fusion Middleware (portal), Oracle eBusiness Suite, PSFT, Siebel or Hyperion required.
- Knowledge of Windows and\or Linux operating system commands and interfaces.
- Perl or Shell scripting knowledge preferred.
- Working knowledge of MS Excel, Word and Powerpoint.
- Follows verbal and written instructions accurately.
- Understands the importance of customer service.
- Written and verbal communication skills deliver high quality support.
- Is able to manage time and work flow to meet service levels.
- Adjusts language and terminology to meet the needs of the customer.

- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent.
- 2+ years of relevant experience.
- Previous experience installing and configuring Oracle or acquired. Products.
