Essential Duties:
- Establish project objectives, policies, procedures and performance standards within boundaries of company policy and contract specifications;
- Performs a variety of highly-skilled duties such as: assembling, coordinating and managing multidisciplinary technical teams made up of professionals;
- Facilitates and troubleshoots all problems associated with the coordination of complex industrial projects;
- Provides highly-skilled technical and managerial advice and assistance to department, company, contractors and project team;
- Chairs various project review and progress report meetings, establishing and maintaining liaisons as required with Boards and Steering Committees;
- Coordinates schedules of staff and other parties involved, providing supervision and guidance to all assigned staff;
- Initiates and maintains tender and acquisition-related liaisons to facilitate project activities;
- Monitors and controls project through administrative direction of on-site supervisors to ensure project is completed on schedule, within budget and complying to quality standards;
- Investigates potentially serious project development situations and implements corrective measures;
- Represents company in project meetings and attends strategy meetings with relevance to the project;
- Manages the financial aspects of project contracts to protect company’s interest and simultaneously maintain good relationship with the contractors;
- Requisitions supplies and materials to complete project;
- Formulates reports concerning such areas as work progress, costs and scheduling.
Previous experience (with a track record of performance) in:
- Leading various projects in the field of oil & gas drilling, assisting top management in introducing modern projects coordination techniques;
- Setting up and coordinating the implementation of new investment and maintenance projects (supervising budget limits, time constraints and standards of quality);
- Controlling and coordinating the activity of subcontractors, monitoring compliance to company rules and procedures;
- Planning the project activities using Primavera and other modern project management instruments.
Must have-s:
- University Degree in Oil & Gas Engineering; MBA would be a valuable asset;
- Professional education in Project Management (PMI certification preferred, but not mandatory);
- 5+ years of experience in coordinating various industrial drilling projects;
- Knowledge and experience in the following areas: business plans, investment monitoring, oil & gas projects, contracting; international exposure would be an important asset;
- Fluency in English;
- Driving license - type B and consistent, uneventful driving experience;
