RESPONSABILITATI

For one of our clients, a multinational company, active in mining industry, we are looking for a Procurement Coordinator.

- Develops and implements short- and long-term procurement strategies designed to reduce costs and improve quality and service and works closely with company staff to ensure these measures are achieved;
- Reviews and approves new or improved administrative, purchasing, and clerical procedures to maintain economy and efficiency of operation;
- Coordinates and reviews bid proposals and specifications, and submits them for the approval of the Corporate Controller;
- Reviews the market, obtains resources information, quotations and secures competitive bids for goods and services;
- Initiates and maintains partnerships with external vendors by negotiating purchase order contracts and subcontracts;
- Reviews and drafts recommendations on particular purchases requiring management approval;
- Contributes in a timely manner to the preparation of written financial and administrative reports with data form his area of expertise;
- Creates responses to special correspondence and handles special assignments and problems such as responses to service providers inquiries and bid protests;
- Together with the Contract Coordinator and the Legal Manager, interprets contract provisions and reviews contracts for accuracy and changes prior to bids or renewals;
- Provides liaison between vendors, contractors, and department staff;
- Establishes and maintains vendor databases and administers assigned categories and product codes.


CERINTE

- Procurement methods and procedures of a large scale centralized purchasing function including buying, quality assurance, contract administration and contract law;
- Commodity markets and price trends;
- Various grades, qualities, and varieties of materials, supplies, and equipment;
- Office management principles, practices, and procedures;
- Accounting, laws and regulations as applied to procurement procedures;
- Strong analytical, negotiation, communication and problem-solving skills;
- Goals oriented with good time management;
- Excellent English skills;
- Computer network, spreadsheet and database management experience.
