The position will be within General Ledger Department of the European region Shared Service Center of the Company, and will get an assignment for one ore more European subsidiaries accounting jobs, using a specific Chart of Accounts and following some specific procedures and accounting policies, mainly on IAS and IFRS.
Supporting ERP system is built on Oracle Applications – Financial Suite, integrated with Purchasing, Inventory and Order Management.
Main responsibility regards the accounting internal compliance, but also need to follow the specific local GAAP and provide support to local financial staff for specific reporting.
The candidate will get training regarding both company accounting policy and ERP, as well as about local specific requirements.
Job will be based in Bucharest office, but some business trips for 1 to 4 weeks abroad might be required, usually no more than once per year.
Reporting deadlines are very strict and a careful work planning and execution is required.
Specific responsibilities:
- Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly and yearly financial reports for the group; provide feedback to Headquarter questions and requirements
- Provide support for local reporting
- Accounting data from subledgers (AP, AR, Inventory, PO) consolidation and checking on daily, weekly and monthly basis
- Prepare specific or adjusting accounting journals
- Revenue and cost recognition: tracking, calculation and feedback
- Coordinate the reconciliation between subledgers and General Ledger; preparing monthly reconciliation reports between GL and: subledgers, bank statements, inter-company statements
- Planning and implementing daily/weekly/monthly routines for GL work, as well as for the related subledgers work
- Supporting documents management
- Actively involving in department projects related to activity efficiency and quality improvement
- Ensure the reconciliation between the bank statement and accounting ledger
- Prepare reports related to the bank operations and cash flow forecast
Ideal Candidates:
Knowledge:
- Education: graduate in finance and/or accounting.
- Good control of English, including commerce & accounting in both speaking and writing
- Work experience: at least 2 years in accounting area
- Experience in a ERP System will be a +. If Oracle:++
- Experience in a multinational company is not a must but will also be an asset
- Familiar with IFRS and IAS. Local European GAAP knowledge will be an asset
Skills:
- Good computer skills (At least MS Office)
- Good communication and interpersonal skills

- Able to organize own and related team members tasks; able to act as coordinator to fulfill common tasks
