New 4 star Hotel in Brasov (Grand Opening - second quarter 2008), seek experienced professional for General Manager position (Top Management level)


- General Manager coordinates, directs and manages the staff and everyday hotel operations to achieve profitability, guest satisfaction and efficiency while maintaining standards set by the company assuring 100% guest satisfaction.
- General Manager is responsible for operational, marketing, human resources and other business planning.
- Is responsible for the day-to-day management of a hotel and its staff
- Has commercial accountability for planning, organizing and directing all hotel services
- Financial management - preparing budgets and marketing strategies and achieving targets for the business;
- Working for identifying new sales perspectives and driving business growth;
- Must strike a balance between customer satisfaction and effective business management, ensuring financial viability, and facilitate a smooth-running customer service, while ensuring staff work together as a team.


Typical work activities may include:
- promoting and marketing the business;
- managing budgets and financial plans;
- maintaining statistical and financial records;
- achieving profit targets;
- recruiting, training and monitoring staff;
- planning work schedules;
- meeting and greeting customers;
- dealing with customer complaints and comments;
- addressing problems and troubleshooting;
- ensuring events and conferences run smoothly;
- supervising maintenance, supplies and furnishings;
- dealing with contractors and suppliers;
- ensuring security is effective;
- carrying out inspections of property and services;
- ensuring compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations;


CERINTE

- Bachelor\'s degree ( in Tourism/Economics is a plus)
- Working experience, preferably in hotel management (3 or 4 stars hotel). General management experience, from greeting guests to managing finances. Profit and loss, budgeting experience, sales background and rate/yield management experiences are preferred;
- demonstrated management skills;
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- ability to lead & develop others;
- strong work ethic, professional appearance;
- high energy, enthusiasm and self-confidence;
- quality references required;
- fluency in English is a must (other foreign languages would be a plus);
- very good computer skills.
