On behalf of our client, a leading multinational consulting and outsourcing company, we are searching for an GENERAL LEDGER TEAM LEADER willing to develop a career in the financial field.
Main responsibilities:
- Processing general ledger entries using deal specific accounting systems and other related software (if applicable) and in line with defined processes and procedures.
- Maintaining chart of accounts, journal entries and reconciliation activities
- Activities related to management reporting.
- Manages activities performed by general ledger team;
- Responsibility for balancing resource requirements in team and focusing team based on peaks and valleys in process cycles;
- Makes sure that period, quarter and annual close requirements from own team are met in a timely and accurate manner;
- Ensures compliance with Corporate Policies;
- Run Risk Review process with Business Units participation, plus support Audit process;
- Directly supervise or co-ordinate the work of others in a medium sized team;
- Maintaining low attrition rate; retention and assist in recruitment of quality of directly subordinated staff ;
- Works to clearly defined budgetary parameters and targets.
Skills, knowledge & experience:
- Bachelors degree;
- 5+ years accounting experience or experience with accounting systems, and/or recognized accounting qualification;
- Deep General Ledger experience;
- Fluent English is essential;
- Advanced Excel and Word skills are essential;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Ability to coach & motivate team members;
- Ability to problem solve and work under pressure to meet deadlines and resolve issues;
- Responsible for training of inexperienced team members;
- Provides “expert” support on procedures/work methods for all staff in general ledger area;
- Self starter – ability to work on own with minimal supervision.
