We are seeking for a highly motivated full stack web developer, a candidate with excellent problem solving and technical skills who is eager to help move our product forward and wants to join a team of experienced, professional engineers, designers, marketers and architects.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the backbone of our new architecture to support all lines of business (all our products)
- Work with product management to define, architect, and build new customer-facing features.
- Write quality, maintainable code with extensive test coverage in a fast-paced professional software engineering environment.
- Influence cross team initiatives and mentor junior engineers.
- Excellent PHP skills, industry experience with at least one mvc framework.
- In-depth understanding of mysql (or other RDBMS), emphasis to optimization & performance; Experience with NoSQL is a big plus.
- Ability to solve essentially any front end problem that might arise in modern web, mastery of javascript/jquery along with some CSS/html; Experience with Node.js or with a JS framework (AngularJS, ReactJS, etc) is a plus
- Experience with RESTful web services design, development and integration into web applications
- Basic understanding of UX/UI & ability to build products and features for the end-user in order to make their life easier
- Working knowledge of Linux server administration & good idea about server infrastructure;
- Basic SEO / SEM knowledge
- Experience with the version control system Git, SVN
- Well-balanced between efficiency and perfectionism;
- Team player who is not afraid to contribute ideas & who is not upset if voted down;
- Experienced with agile methodologies;
Nice to have Qualifications/Skills
- Good skills in other programming languages (Java, C++, etc)
- Experience with Amazon environments: AWS, Elastic Search, etc
- Experience with different caching systems: Varnish, Memcached, etc
- Experience with Redis
- Good Virtualization knowledge: VirtualBox, Vagrant, Docker
Current stage of the project:
At the present moment the Ownzones team located here, in Romania is composed of back-end and front-end web developers&architects working on the reconstruction of the streaming platform. The romanian team was formed aprox. 8 months ago, and and its purpose is to be involved exclusively in the development area of the project. This is an opportunity to join a recently formed development team, and to be actively involved in the technology stack completion for the development process.
