- Responsible for the overall direction of the financial policy and programs in the company.
- Improves the finance function's capacity to meet all of the business's financial management, reporting and control requirements.
- Supports the Group Board in development of business strategy. Makes recommendations for improving cost control, property management, credit and collection etc.
- Advises management regarding company financial resources, trends, and the results of operations.
- Preparation of financial statements and reports, budgets, forecasts and management information.
- Communicates with the appropriate audit, tax and accounting authorities.
- Responsible for appropriate budget preparation and review according to business objectives.
- Internal controls
- Manages, appraises and motivates financial team.
- Ensures the finance department produces timely, accurate and relevant analysis in support of the business.
- Professional qualified- MBA/ ACCA or other advanced degree
- 5- 10 years experience in financial management
- Significant experience in Big4/ consultancy is preferred
- Strong knowledge of Romanian financial systems, coupled with excellent understanding of fiscal and IFRS accounting requirements compliant to the Romanian laws
- The ability to thrive in a challenging, results driven environment
- Ability to lead and motivate a team of professionals, accountants and finance specialists
- Excellent time management
- Ability to lead, plan and manage change
- Fluent English & Romanian
- Business skills – understands business operation, rhythm, needs and incentives
- Ability to prioritize workload and demonstrated commitment to meeting reporting deadlines
- Knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS
- Hands on experience in International taxation
- Experience in working on finance ERP systems and in implementing company policies
