For one of our clients, the world’s largest Chemical company with over 100 years of industry –leading performance with over 43,000 employees around the world and more than 3400 products made at 180 manufacturing sites in 37 countries, we are looking for a Finance Specialist.
Responsibilities:
Reviewing financial statements of the Romanian entity to check on quality & reasonableness;
Ensuring that accounting is in line with Romanian GAAP & creating annual Romanian statutory accounts;
Coordinating with other Finance sub-processes (notably cost, tax, CFS & CISS), accounting service groups and other functions to ensure recognition of potential differences between US GAAP/ Romanian GAAP.
Ensuring follow-up & implementation in case of accounting changes;
Ensuring full compliance with any internal & external control / audit policies (eg. SOX);
Dealing with financial authorities;
Preparing monthly accounting & financial statements according to RAS and US GAAP;
Preparing and submitting the monthly declarations to the state authorities, as well as the statutory Romanian balance sheet reports.
Requirements:
University degree, preferably in accounting/finance;
3 -5 years accounting experience in a multinational company;
Proven background of the Romanian accounting;
Technical knowledge of USGAAP & Romanian GAAP.
Experience in data recalculation and reporting to a foreign mother company;
High proficiency in using MS Office, spreadsheet applications and accounting software would represent a plus;
Fluency in English (speaking and writing), knowledge of other language represents an asset;
Positive “can-do” attitude, self-starting and result oriented person;
Analytical thinking;
Excellent inter personal communication and organization skills;
Able to work in a fast growing environment;
