FAAS is a multi-disciplinary service, combining our technical accounting expertise with insight and solutions from Advisory, Legal, TAS and Tax. The aim is to help our clients navigate the changing landscape of financial accounting and the resulting impact on reporting processes, planning ahead and taking advantage of changes that will help to manage business and stakeholders more effectively.
FAAS projects include:
Accounting and regulatory support:
Romanian GAAP application, including preparation of accounting manuals
Support on new accounting standards
Accounting support on special transactions etc.
Accounting processes and controls support
GAAP conversion and implementation
IPO and other public offering assistance
On-Call Financial Reporting Advice
Transaction accounting and financial reporting assistance:
Transaction accounting and reporting – mergers, acquisitions, business transfers etc.
Purchase Price Allocation (PPA)
IFRS trainings
Job description
Manage/execute FAAS projects, assisting clients in solving their complex accounting and financial reporting issues in Romanian GAAP or IFRS
Integrate with other service lines (Tax, TAS, Legal, Advisory) on multi-disciplinary projects
Identify and develop business opportunities
Coach team members, encourage technical excellence and learning
Contribute to marketing and business development activities
Requirements
Bachelor degree in Economics
ACCA qualified or in an advanced stage for finalization of ACCA exams
3 to 4 years of experience in providing audit or accounting advisory services (for Senior Position)
5 years of experience in providing audit or accounting advisory services (for Manager Position)
Strong analytical and technical skills in accounting, both Romanian GAAP and IFRS
Recent experience of applying technical IFRS accounting requirements preferable
Good verbal communication and written abilities, in Romanian and English
Ability to apply commercial considerations to technical accounting requirements
Team player with excellent interpersonal skills
