Department Description:
Freescale Semiconductor's MSG IMM group offers to its customer’s comprehensive solutions for industrial automation and communication for the consumer space, both wired and wireless.
Examples are:

Scope of Responsibilities/Expectations:
The selected candidate will join of the R&D SW team ensuring the quality of the communication stacks and applications on different Freescale platforms. The main responsibilities will be creating the software system test plans, test case specification using testing techniques, implement and execute automated test scripts, analyze the test results and report any nonconformity, collaborate with the development team in the process of reproducing and analyzing the reported software issues
Requirements:
• proven experience in testing software for embedded systems
• experience in developing test cases against specifications/requirements
• university degree in a technical field (Computer Science, Automatics and Industrial Control, Electronics, Cybernetics)
• good command of a scripting language such as Python
• good knowledge of networking protocols
• knowledge of ANSI C programming language
The following would be a plus:
• understanding of communication protocols specifications (MAC/network levels, USB)
• usage of networking testing equipment/analyzers
• usage of configuration management tools
• ISTQB certifications
