Overall Role Purpose

To provide high quality research to a range of internal clients in the Tax & Legal department and to act as the knowledge hub for the Knowledge and Innovation Department within PwC Tax and Legal department.


Main Responsibilities

Coordinate and prepare tax and legal alerts;
Coordinate and draft tax publications and thought leadership (local, regional, global);
Organise tax technical meetings in subgroups;
Perform tax technical research upon request and own initiative, run tax surveys, draft summary tax trends, prepare justifications for tax legislative proposals, draft technical opinions, position papers etc.

Acts as first-line tax research contact for all groups;
Stays informed and provides updates about tax news, tax issues, new interpretations to the team of consultants;
Posts info on existing local and global knowledge repositories;
Disseminates innovative content to improve service delivery;
Distributes relevant thought leadership;
Conducts value-added, high quality research and analysis in a timely manner, and ensures it is tailored to the needs of the user;
Provides research for new technical aspects, controversial interpretations, EU law and jurisprudence opportunities, etc.
Offers support to other research colleagues as required;
Ensures that dedicated time is allotted to knowledge sharing at all relevant team meetings wherever possible;
Liaises with relevant regional/territory KM resources to disseminate best-of-class relevant internal and external content to team members to enhance client service delivery;
Collaborates with technical committee and technical groups in each department;
Liaises with technical groups to stay up to date with legislative developments and identify new opportunities;
Disseminates technical and relevant business knowledge.


CERINTE

Our Requirements

Minimum 4 years of experience in tax consulting ;
Very strong tax technical skills, analytical and synthetic skills;
Previous experience in tax research and in using computer-based tax research libraries;
University degree, preferably in economics and/or law;
Communicative person, keen on details, self driven, goal-orientated, able to keep deadlines;
Computer literacy – MS Office: Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint; Lotus Notes literacy would be an advantage.
