Our client is world’s leading specialist in air transport communications and information technology with partners like airlines, airports, aerospace companies, GDSs, air traffic management organizations, air freight businesses, governments and international organizations.
Project Description:
The project's goal is the migration of existing ETL jobs toward a new platform. All ETL jobs were performed by Informatica PowerCenter 8.1.1 workflows grouping several mappings. Some side-functions were performed by shell scripts.
The migration project had the following requirements:
- migrate the relevant ETL jobs from Powercenter to Talend Open Studio without any functionality loss;
- asses a solution for the side functions performed by shell scripts;
- migrate the functionality pertaining to execution control and error reporting.
- Minimum 3 years development experience in ETL design and development using enterprise-grade software such as Talend or Informatica;
- Must be proficient in Data Integration ETL terminology, concepts and best practices;
- Relational database experience with good command of SQL, PL/SQL and JDBC with Oracle databases;
- Hands-on development experience in Java & J2EE framework on Unix/Windows environment;
- Effective analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills;
The candidate should have worked previously ideally in an ETL developer role implementing J2EE based ETL solutions and understand what it takes to bring up and maintain an enterprise level application developed using Java technologies.
