The Principal EPM Business Analyst will work in a team implementing Hyperion Essbase Planning applications to meet budgeting, forecasting, ad hoc analysis and reporting needs. This role involves development and implementation of enhancements, new cubes, reports, tools and processes. It involves integration with the existing data platforms (Oracle E-Business suite, Oracle BI Applications).
Your responsibilities will include:
• Participate in the development and implementation of enhancements, new cubes, reports, tools and processes associated with Hyperion Planning projects; including web form and tasks list development;
• Create and maintain Smartview reports in Excel spreadsheets;
• Design and develop Hyperion financial report solutions;
• Develop and optimize Business Rules using Calculation Manager;
• Develop, review and optimize Essbase outlines;
• Security Administration - Including web forms/reports and calculation scripts/business rules;
• Create / maintain administration scripts and system documentation;
• Tune and troubleshoot Hyperion, Essbase, and Application Servers. Assist with tuning and troubleshooting databases;
• Develop and maintain data transfer between OBIEE 11g/E-Business 11g and Essbase/Planning;
• Train members of the project team and employees; and advise them on options and priorities.
Strong experience in hands-on development with Oracle Hyperion Planning and Essbase;
• Experience with MDX and knowledge in Oracle SQL would be an advantage;
• Experience with OBIEE and/or ODI is a plus;
• Oracle ERP knowledge is a plus;
• Linux/Unix knowledge is a plus.
