Pre-sales is the function that provides product expertise to sales, customers & partners in Oracle. Oracle has a large community of pre-sales consultants across EMEA that engage on a daily basis in tasks such as:

- Product presentations & demonstrations
- Advise customers & partners on how best to use Oracle products
- Respond to tenders
- Interact with product development about new releases and new functionality

As a pre-sales consultant you have the chance to develop in a very broad spectrum, ranging from product expertise, customer interaction, communication and general IT market knowledge. Successful pre-sales consultants are in high demand and have the opportunity to pursue a career path both in pre-sales and in many different IT and non-IT functions.

The EPM Pre-sales Shared Service Centre is tasked with supporting the EMEA field pre-sales in a diverse number of ways, ranging from answering to tenders, customizing demos and building prototypes to directly supporting partners and/or customers with specific requests.

At this centre we are looking for individuals who are willing to take on the challenge of building excellent product knowledge and combining this with a good commercial sense while working in an international environment.

The languages supported by the centre are: English (mandatory), French, German or/and Italian (fluency in one of these languages is a requirement).

PROFILE:
To fulfil the role of the EPM Solutions Pre-Sales Consultant we are looking for individuals that match the following profile:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Format and answer Requests for Information and Requests for Proposal (Oracle Corporate Questions, Product Questions with thorough answers)
- Proactively support sales teams in positioning EPM as a key differentiator
- Maintain in depth and up to date knowledge of relevant business drivers & typical customer needs
- Ensure collaboration with industry presales teams, the core technology presales community and sales.
- Actively developing product expertise
- Attend adequate product trainings; read relevant collateral, analyst reports, white papers, competitive documents etc.

CERINTE

Technical:

- Good understanding of the IT market/trends
- Knowledgable in the Finance Domain (financial controlling, financial analysis, reporting, budgeting & planning)
- Knowledge and experience of Performance Management products (Hyperion, Outlooksoft, Cognos, Business Objects, Cartesis)
- Knowledge of PM technology
- Ideally also experience of working with ERP products (Oracle, Siebel, Peoplesoft, JD Edwards, SAP)
- Experience of pre-sales delivery in a major software vendor
- Experience of working with multi-disciplinary, global teams to develop and deliver solutions

Non Technical:

- Good communication skills - able to articulate key messages very clearly
- Openness to work with different languages & cultures (you will support most of Europe)
- Results orientation - you won’t be satisfied until the job is done with the right quality!
- Ability to work in (virtual) teams. To get a specific job done often requires working together with many colleagues spread out in different countries
- Self motivated, you have the natural drive to learn and pick up new challenges
- Eagerness to learn – you enjoy the challenge of getting to master new products in a very short timeframe

Other:
- Work experience in a similar role is an advantage
- English language is mandatory
