We are looking Engineering Manager for one of our clients, an IT company specialized in networking, routing protocols.
The Division Manager will possess the following skills and responsibilities:
- Leading developers, scripting, QA, project management and solutions architecture.
- Implement best practices leadership in each engineering discipline: - Challenge each engineering discipline on all proposed solutions, ensuring - Extensibility, Project requirements, Cost effectiveness and resource efficiency, - Ensure QA & Development every release improvement in quality, code efficiency, equipment utilization, automation and lab infrastructure.
- Interface with customers and sales teams to gather requirements, represent engineering, support delivery of POC's and implementations.
- Clearly set priorities for each group that align with business requirements.
- Identify members that are ready for leadership challenge and grow them.
- Clearly communicate team and project accomplishment status.
- Provide pro-active mitigation plans for near and long-term risk.
- Must have customer exposure and be customer facing: - brings business context to team, - identifying engineering gaps and feeding it to upper management and solution implementation.
- Interface with other groups within company, providing support and eliciting assistance where needed.
- Operate effectively in Start Up environment: maximizing available resources, driving productivity and enthusiasm, building customer delight, and doing whatever it takes for the business to be successful.
- BS or MS in Computer Science (Automatics and Computers Faculty in UPB or equivalent).
- At least 10 years of experience in the industry, as a software engineer, project manager, people management.
- At least 5 years of experience in a management position
- Good knowledge of Object Oriented languages (C++, Java, etc) and databases (Oracle, MySQL, etc).
- Knowledge of Networking protocols (OSI stack, L2-3, L4-7, TCP/IP, broadband, etc).
- Ability to manage the full development cycle and deliver releases on time with quality under tight deadlines.
- Good command of the English language and proven track record of interacting with international customers.
