We are looking for skilled and responsible individuals with excellent understanding (spoken and written) of English or French to join our team of emergency 911 call operators.
You would be in charge of responding to emergency calls, gathering emergency type and location information as well as directing them to the appropriate units.
You must be extremely organized and professional. If you’re reliable, conscientious, responsible, customer service oriented, highly organized and can work with minimal supervision, we’d like you to join our team.
Our environment is fast-paced so you’ll need to be able to deal with stressful situations.
Responsibilities:
• Answer calls from customers in need of 911 emergency assistance.
• Gather all of the necessary information ; Location , emergency type and other details that may be relevant.
• Contact local dispatch and provide them with the information.
• Oversee the communication process making sure that the emergency team reaches the appropriate destination.

- Is committed to professionalism and excellence in customer service
- Fluently in English or French. Exhibits excellent oral and written communication skills
- Stress tolerance: Reacts quickly, logically, efficiently, and calmly in emergency situations
- Respectfully responds to calls in various states of mind
- Displays exceptional prioritizing and multi-tasking skills in an emergency, priority driven environment
- Remains flexible and adaptable in an ever changing work environment while contributing to the teams goals
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Demonstrated commitment to teamwork: willingness to work with others in achieving departmental goals.
- Demonstrates a willingness to participate in departmental activities, training, and acceptance of other work
Shift patterns: We are a 24/7, 365 day operations with rotations and flexibility.
