The EMEA University Programs Coordinator will be in the University Programs organization.
The mission of this role will be to initiate and coordinate Freescale’s relations and activities with universities in EMEA in order to:
- To investigate and execute on opportunities that will increase awareness and provide experience in Freescale technologies with educators and students in universities.
- To collaborate with research champions in the region to identify opportunities for Freescale to work with universities in research initiatives
- To collaborate with recruitment champions in the region to help identify key talent in universities for them to pursue toward internships, engineering rotational opportunity, and permanent recruitment
Scope of Responsibilities/Expectations:
- Coordinate and develop Freescale’ s partnerships with Universities: frequent meetings with the professors and University management; to put in place contracts between Freescale and Universities; serve on university advisory boards; attend strategic university events; partner with country agencies and organizations
- Implement development tools into schools: incorporate tools within courses-of-study; set up Freescale-branded teaching laboratories, sponsor student projects, and overall brand Freescale in universities
- Responsibility for measurable growth metrics: Keep a list of ALL activities with respective contacts; monthly and quarterly progress reports; process orders, samples, and support for universities
- Personal development: Understand Freescale structure and the go-to people in the region and company that can assist you in your efforts; get to know key educators that influence decisions in universities, areas, and countries
Specific knowledge/skills:
- Have knowledge of the universities and their respective engineering departments
- Possess very good organization and communication skills
- Be able to collaborate effectively internally and externally to Freescale
- Act with unquestionable ethical standards
- Be energetic and passionate about the University Program and your position
- Possess very good interpersonal skills
