RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Development of strategy for the entire Pharma and Life Sciences market in EMEA
* A small but growing direct team of ¿above country¿ experts consisting of business development, sales, pre-sales and consulting
* Thought leadership and branding of Oracle in this segment
* Influence and ¿direction¿ of country-assigned/region-assigned and goaled Life Sciences sales and pre-sales individuals
* Major deal ¿shaping¿ and oversight
* Operational oversight and accountability in business management in segment
* Liaison with and influence on Oracle Corporate Development
* Macro-level relationships with key partners
* There is a key emphasis on the development of the ¿applications¿ (eBS) business and on the development (with partners) of such key paradigms as BPO.

QUALIFICATIONS:

* The person will have to liaise with and influence a separate sales group who operate, for the most part, in a cadre of customers who are EMEA-domiciled ¿big pharma¿ companies, for whom the person will have strategy responsibility but no ¿direct¿ control.
* The person will have ¿direct¿ control of other ¿big pharma¿, Tier 2 pharma, biotech, bioinformatic and medical device companies.
* The person can come out of the ¿industry¿ but will, ideally, have business development/sales experience in the software/services business for this segment.
* The person will have to travel regularly within EMEA and to the US.
