- Design and develop modular layered firmware libraries written primarily in C.
- Develop corresponding documentation to document the libraries interface, functionality, and performance.
- Develop technical collateral such as application notes, technical briefs and articles to promote and support the USB product line.
- Develop demonstration boards and evaluation kits for customer training and allow customer to evaluate, experiment and develop with understanding and designing in USB products
- Evaluates design decisions based on interface usability, maintainability, code size generation, and speed performance on 8/16/32 bit microcontrollers.
- Work with development teams to develop new stand-alone USB products
- Tests libraries and designs to meet any required certifications.
- Be able to read schematics, read and interpret written specifications and implement solutions from those specifications.
Degree in Electronics, Automatics or Electrical Engineering with minimum 4+ years experience in embedded system product development or semiconductor applications with USB systems.
Strong verbal and written abilities with the English language.
Software:
Must have experience with programming in embedded assembly and C programming languages. He/she must have a good understanding of a standard software development methodology.
Hardware:
Must also have both analog and digital circuit design and debugging experience. Prefer to have prior USB design experience.
Pluses:
Experience with developing PC applications (GUIs)
Experience with developing operating system drivers
Understanding of Linux and Mac driver development/support
