This position within Freescale Cellular Products Group is for an Embedded SW Engineer. The team in Romania creates the software for the 3G modem stack, the platform simulation environment and the HW validation tools.
The software created by the Romanian team is incorporated in a variety of mobile phones based on our cellular platforms and enable Freescale customers to make the difference on the market in terms of features and quality.
Specific knowledge/skills:
- University degree, preferable in Computer Science, Automation, Electronics.
- Experience in C/C++ development and Assembly language for embedded applications.
- Knowledge of microprocessors and peripherals architecture.
- Spoken and written English.
Experience in some of the following would be a plus:
- Knowledge of software configuration management, preferable ClearCase.
- Embedded systems software for DSPs, microcontrollers etc.
- Wireless communication protocols (GSM/GPRS/EDGE/UMTS).
- Real-time applications & Real Time operating systems.
