In Powertrain management system and calibration Division, the Specification & Test Engineer will be responsible with one or more of the following (depending on precise role) in accordance with software development standards :
- Definition of the software specification by producing a coherent suite of software requirements, interfaces in the development of complex powertrain software (engine or transmission).
- Technical exchanges with software supplier on software specifications.
- Development of tests scenarii (manual or automated tests) for software validation on HIL test bench or on vehicle.
- Validation of the functionality of software, according to the requirements or specifications in accordance with the validation plan established by the Software Project Manager.
- Maintaining software defect tracking database and follow-up of corrective actions.
- Calibration Management.
- Industrialization of the Software and Calibration.
- Diagnosis documentation for after-sale and plants about powertrain management system.
- Ensure support to the users of the software (tunning, vehicle engineering)
Needed Knowledge:
Knowledge in the area of embedded software development for real-time systems
- Knowledge of test environment, tools (Matlab, Simulink and it’s an advantage to know INCA, CANalyzer, dSpace/ETAS HIL systems), process and methods
- Knowledge in the area of powertain (engine or transmission), internal combustion engines or gearboxes is a plus
- Knowledge in the area of software development processes and quality assurance
- Basic knowledge of sensors and electrical actuators desirable
