Our client is a leading multinational company in defence & communications industry.
- Teams with the Data Network Design Engineer (lead) during configuration and tests of DVCS elements prior to shipment to site.
- Creates the Site specific equipment configuration set-up according to the global configuration template and the detailed design document provided by the Data Network Design Engineer
- Prepares the lab environment for testing the configuration set-up
- Performs the verification tests of the configuration set-up according to the generic pre-configuration test procedure provided by the Engineering Data Network Test Engineer.
- Maintains the pre-configuration test procedure document
- Reports the pre-configuration test report to the Data Network Design Engineer.
- Provides 1st level support to the Roll-out team during implementation.
Technical
- At least 2 years experience in engineering projects
- Working experience in the implementation of telecom networks or electrical engineering
- Technical background (sound practical and theoretical background ) and for communications equipment
- Experience in complex networking and telecommunications solutions
- Knowledge of Cisco Systems Technology Documentation
- Practical Experience on the following devices:
o CISCO Router (Branch and WAN Router families)
o CISCO Catalyst Switch (Branch, Campus and Datacenter platforms)
o CISCO VPN/Security Devices (PIX 5xx, ASA 55xx, VPN30xx, IDS/IPS 42xx)
- Very good knowledge in:
o Network design and configuration documentation
o Good LAN/WAN/MAN experience o Knowledge in IP Routing/Switching
o Implementation experience for the following Protocols and Technologies:
??? IPv4 protocol suite, VLAN, STP(802.1d,s,w), BGP4/MPBGP, OSPF, EIGRP,
??? RIP, MPLS L2/L3VPN,
??? GRE, DMVPN, Easy VPN, Site-to-Site VPN, NAT
??? MPLS QoS, MQC, Advanced Network Security, Intrusion Prevention,
??? Network Analysers
??? IP Network Troubleshooting skills
- Basic knowledge in: TETRA / GSM / PABX system / VOIP
Education
- University degree in Telecommunications or IT Engineering
- CCNA
Others
- Fluent in English;
- Good knowledge of MS Office
- Familiar with Quality Management
Nice to have requirements:
- Previous experience in large telecom network deployments
- CCNP in conjunction with CCSP / CCIP or equal
