The Development Manager is responsible for implementation of major and complex real estate projects utilizing project managers, architects, engineers, specialist consultants and contractors. Projects include building types such as offices, hotels, residential, shopping centers, etc. and involve land-development, value analysis, new construction, urban improvement, complex leases.
This is a senior construction management position requiring the ability to:
Work within a scheduling and cost tracking team to develop and execute project financial information and variance reports for executive management
Manage local authorities approval processes-securing approvals
Coordinate and cooperate with requesting departments/local authorities in identifying projects requirements and developing scope of works for projects planned
Assist with bidding and awarding of design, construction, on-site project management contracts
Provide technical support for construction efforts , including participation in construction planning and design if required, resolution and documentation of designer-contractor conflicts
Ensure quality of construction by monitoring correct implementation of engineering procedures and issue of work controlling documents
Monitor ongoing work inspections ,
Monitor project management reports and interface with all on-site departments to resolve problems in support of overall project schedule
Monitor and prepare revision of job costs
Manage schedule, cost and earned value data, interacting with assigned project managers
Update and analyze costs associated with construction projects
Analyze schedule for potential impacts
Provide final inspection of work performed by contractors and ensure project objectives have been achieved
Secure final official approvals
