PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
Within SAP Consulting, the Global Delivery Center is a group that provides remote SAP consulting service to SAP customers.
This group serves customers worldwide via tight cooperation with other local SAP consulting teams. This means worldwide delivery commitment in areas including SAP ERP application, SAP Supply Chain Management application, SAP Customer Relation Management application, SAP Strategic Enterprise Management application, SAP Supplier Relationship Management application, and solutions for Retail and Financial
Services industries.
EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
- Able to set up development guidelines and methodologies
- Take lead position in the project and perform technical activities including coding
- Act as trusted adviser to the customer
- Manage customer expectations and avoid any escalations
- Support the pre-sales activities
- Independently run initiatives to improvise processes or provide new process steps
- Work on projects executed across geographies and cultures
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
- University degree, preferably in engineering (bachelor in engineering, or master degree in computer applications, business administration, or science)
- Sound IT knowledge (operation systems, databases, and application servers)
- An expert for development aspects of a customer implementation project (evaluating functional specs, preparation of technical specs, coding, reviews, unit testing, technical issue
resolution, and so on)
- Good application knowledge
- Exposure to project management or project management methodologies is an asset
WORK EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of ten years professional experience
- At least 8 years of SAP experience is preferred
- Must have worked for large organizations, and handled large complex projects in the onsite-offshore model
- Must have worked on at least 1 end-to-end implementation project as development lead
- Prior experience in the Business Blue Print phase of an implementation project is a must
- More than 8 years ABAP working experience
- Experience in industry specific solutions (such as media, banking, retail, and so on)
FOREIGN LANGUAGES
- English at business level is mandatory
- German at least at conversational level is mandatory
TRAVEL:
- availability and willingness to travel and be deployed internationally for varying lengths of time.~ 80% of working time.
