RESPONSABILITATI

The candidate will be member of EMEA Global Engineering and Support Team. This team has responsibility for all aspects of Engineer and Support for Oracles 100+ office in the 40+ Countries in the EMEA region.
End Users Support Issues will be logged via internal first level Global Helpdesk or End User Self Service Logging Systems. Operational support will be accomplished with other team members, but this role will be expected to accomplish a large proportion of these first level issues.
· Candidate will be trained in house, but will need to have a strong Desktop and Customer Service/Helpdesk Background
· Future involvement in projects, engineering, vendor evaluations etc will happen as career progresses.
· Ideal person will be ambitious, self motivated, self starter, who wants to join a team whose technology area has a large learning curve.
· Call Centre Engineering Projects and Operation support for Global Call Centre and ACD systems may also be part of this role.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Configure, install and support desktop / laptop computer hardware and software for end users including new employees
· Demonstrated expertise in supporting Windows XP operating systems
· Expertise using and supporting Microsoft Office suite of applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
· Assisting in the resolution of faults and responding to Help Desk requests
· Perform analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of desktop software/hardware problems
· Provide support for desktop systems for various business units
· Working with the global IT team to support and manage the company's IT systems
· Liaising with third parties / suppliers to resolve technical issues
· May require after hours, and weekend work Skills and experience required Technical
· Relevant third level education or practical experience
· Practical experience of systems and network management technologies;
· Relevant industry certifications (MCSE; CCNA; CCNP; etc.) advantageous but not required

· Excellent technical support and troubleshooting skills in both hardware and software
· Must be able to work independently and in a team environment

· At least 2-3 years in Tier 1/2 help desk support with experience in IT system administration
