For our Client, a large multinational company expanding its business in Romania, we are looking for a candidate for the position of Design Project Manager (Industrial):
Design Project Manager (industrial)
Responsibilities
- Reporting to the Project Director you will coordinate all the projects design disciplines with all other project deliverables during the overall design effort. You will be supported by a team who will provide technical input to all design phases of the projects.
You will be responsible for:
- Preparing design RFP
- Coordinating initial survey reports, basic design proposals and detailed design services
- This will include design, analysis, specification writing, drawings and project control work
- Coordination with other disciplines to insure compatibility of design while being knowledgeable in all aspects of establishing detailed piping and storage facility design drawings and layouts
- Provide design, calculations and technical documentation to support design intent
- Ensuring relevant permits are obtained at the different phases of the design process
- Manage the development of design documents to be used to procure construction services
· Coordinate the production of PFD’s, P&ID’s and I&C drawings
- Monitoring the progress of design against master budget and schedule
- Conduct design review meetings
- Ensure compliance with the latest EU standards
- Maintain electronic media and hardware in an appropriate manner
- Maintain department CAD standards and systems.
- Coordinate Quality Assurance
- Ensure compliance with HSE requirements
Requirements:
Qualifications and Experience
- You must have a Chemical/ Process/ Mechanical Degree
- At least 5-8 years experience in managing design in an engineering company having led FEED projects.
- You will have proven leadership skills and be a culturally sensitive team player.
- You will have excellent communication skills both written and oral and be capable of adapting to demanding project conditions.
- Project execution inter-discipline awareness
- Knowledgeable in the latest Computer software and show skills in 2D CAD Drafting; - Familiar with 3D CAD, CAD Pipe etc.
