Weighing the input of specialists in order to achieve an optimum detailed design.
Supervising the translation of the detailed design into product drawings.
Analyzing proposed amendments to the detailed design, and incorporating these where relevant.
Assisting with problems during manufacture with respect to the product definition.
Contributing to savings in costs and reduction of the duration of the work.
Within the Design discipline the Design Engineer is accountable for:
a correct and complete detailed design;
integration of all factors important to success in the detailed design;
an optimum tie-in of the detailed design with its surroundings;
the correct execution of the assigned activities within the agreed budget and planning.
University Studies (Engineering)
Higher professional training in engineering, preferably aeronautical engineering.
Sufficient knowledge of design and manufacturing processes in the aircraft industry.
Ability to use CAD systems, such as CATIA.
Creative, problem-solving attitude.
A suitable attitude towards the detailing of conceptual designs, i.e. as a challenge.
Ability to work in teams.
Knowledge of English sufficient to understand technical documents.
