• Weighing the input of specialists in order to achieve an optimum detailed design.
• Supervising the translation of the detailed design into product drawings.
• Analyzing proposed amendments to the detailed design, and incorporating these where relevant.
• Assisting with problems during manufacture with respect to the product definition.
• Contributing to savings in costs and reduction of the duration of the work.
Within the Design discipline the Design Engineer is accountable for:
• a correct and complete detailed design;
• integration of all factors important to success in the detailed design;
• an optimum tie-in of the detailed design with its surroundings;
• the correct execution of the assigned activities within the agreed budget and planning.

• University Studies (Engineering)
• Higher professional training in engineering, preferably aeronautical engineering.
• Sufficient knowledge of design and manufacturing processes in the aircraft industry.
• Ability to use CAD systems, such as CATIA.
• Creative, problem-solving attitude.
• A suitable attitude towards the detailing of conceptual designs, i.e. as a challenge.
• Ability to work in teams.
• Knowledge of English sufficient to understand technical documents.
