RESPONSABILITATI

Adecco Permanent Placement is looking for its client, an important engineering company in energy field, a DESIGN DEPARTMENT DIRECTOR, located in Craiova.

General description:
The candidate should direct and oversee a team of designers who use computer aided design for product design. Has extended knowledge about principles of design, construction, engineering and building regulations and is familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Leads and directs the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to top management.
Principal duties:
 Coordinate and manage the design department;
 Lead and direct work intake and overall design project assignment process.
 Plan, track and manage projects assigned in the department in terms of quality and time and adhere to the established specifications and standards;
 Direct, motivate and influence the group of designers to constantly strive for excellence in performance.
 Mentor and supervise creative team while challenging and introducing new and innovative methods of creative execution.
 Provide influencing ideas to enhance department productivity;
 Convey and develop overall interactive team design vision by defining group direction and goals.
 Develop and maintain an efficient collaboration with the other departments involved in the process (such as Production and Logistics);
 Monitor and manage the main indicators of the department;
 Generate new work procedures and improve the existing ones in order to achieve the expected efficiency level of the process managed;
 Establish creative strategy, budgets & schedules for key design projects.
 Is responsible for the integration of the team in the organization according to the general long term strategy.
 Get involved in the recruitment process, motivational programs, performance management and career plans of the Design team in collaboration with HR department;
 Set up development programs for the team members based on the medium and long term plans of the department;
