Oracle Consulting is looking for DBA Manager (Technical Manager) in Bucharest, Romania.
In this position, you will manage a team of highly dedicated consultants who are responsible for remote delivery of DBA services to customers around the world.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead and supervise the team
- Liaise with Project Mangers, Finance, HR
- Develop individual work plans, monitor performance and provide guidance
- Develop/ execute on best practices to improve productivity, quality and process improvement
- Hire and retain talent
- Provide technical guidance to keep team up to date on the tools and technologies
- Provide mentoring to junior team members
- Facilitate career development and professional growth
- Coordinate with other teams in US and India
- Manage financial planing/forecasting of the group
- Produce regular and accurate progress reports
- Ensure customers are satisfied with project delivery
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3+ years of management experience leading a team
- Experience from a Consulting or similar organization within the IT industry
- 5+ years experience with Oracle DBA and/or Oracle Applications DBA activities
- Support of large production systems with 300+ users on a 24x7 basis
- Strong performance monitoring/tuning experience
- Strong Oracle database 9i – 10g administration skills
- Experience with the setup and maintenance of RAC and Dataguard
- Oracle database upgrade experience
- Oracle applications upgrade experience

-Strong written and verbal communications skills
- Motivated and self-starter individuals
- Ability to communicate with management and other project team members to bring items to attention
- Overall analytical skills and ability to pickup new technical skills quickly
- Ability to work as a part of the team, communicate effectively, and transition activities between team members.
