We are searching for a colleague for the following position:
Database Lead
in our Bucharest-based Enterprise Business Intelligence team.
What will you do?
You will:
act as the lead, supporting team members, in all matters related to Sybase IQ database;
physically design and optimize data structures consistent with established specifications and business requirements to deliver maximum business value;
support, enhance, and modify existing applications and code at the database layer;
solve unique and complex problems with creative approaches to ensure timely deliveries.
And, most of all, you will be a part of our young and dynamic team.
If you have:
a well-rounded knowledge of data warehousing and Business Intelligence in general, of physical data modeling and techniques in particular specifically related to the requirements of data warehouses;
expert-level knowledge of physical database implementation and tuning based on logical data models;
a higher level technical education or equivalent;
excellent written and verbal English skills;
Would be a plus:
a very high level of creativity and technical ingenuity;
a positive can-do attitude to work well on a team as well as independently;
a high level of resistance to stress when working under pressure on multiple simultaneous tasks to meet project deadlines;
good time management capability and ability to estimate work packages accurately.
