The Customer Support Engineer will provide Email, Phone, and Web-based support to customers for all DevTech products (CodeWarrior and others)
To support and maintain the Developer Technology /CodeWarrior license configuration system and to provide solutions to internal and external customers with license-related issues.
1. To be the key point of contact for all licensing issues
2. Final escalation resource as CodeWarrior expert for licensing issues
3. Track service requests using Seibel to ensure timely resolution of customer issues
4. Communicate with product engineering and product marketing regarding the License Configuration System processes
5. Update and maintain data in the license configuration system in preparation for product release
6. Interact with other Freescale teams as customer licensing advocate:
a. Engineering and marketing team providing usability and defect feedback
b. Technical Publications to provide documentation improvement requests
c. Training to create and deliver training materials to technical audiences, especially other support staff handling front-line licensing issues with customers
1. Education: Bachelor's Degree in relevant area, focus on database design or data analysis
2: Fluent in English
The ideal candidate has most if not all of the following skills and experience:
1. Experience with Siebel and/or Access or other database systems
2. Experience with data analysis, such as Excel pivot tables and charting capabilities
3. Customer contact experience
4. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities
5. Experience with FlexLM licensing systems is a major plus
