- Takes the lead in managing the stability, security, performance and reliability of company data;
- Installs and upgrades MSSQL and MySQL databases;
- Plans all aspects of scalable database growth;
- Creates and modifies database structures, sets access rights to databases;
- SQL monitoring, troubleshooting, tuning;
- Prepares or reviews physical database designs, table/index design & performance tuning, queries optimization;
- Responsible for the database backups and cleanup tasks; for building & rebuilding databases (fresh or from backups).
- Minimum 2 years full-time working experience as DBA;
- Knowledge of: MS SQL Server 2000/2005, MySQL and related technologies;
- Good English knowledge;
- Previous experience with high performance and high availability systems;
- Ability to work under pressure and to respect strict deadlines;
- Additional advantages: MCDBA, Unix/Linux user level knowledge, programming skills.
