RESPONSABILITATI

The Database Administrator is primarily responsible for the installation, upgrade, maintenance, tuning, daily operations and backup of the Oracle database.

Responsibilities & tasks:

Implements the various configurations required by the external and internal clients into the database and ensures that program requirements and systems specifications are followed closely;
Provides Oracle DBA technical support;
Performs software installation, upgrades and installs application patche;
Monitors database resources regularly and performs ongoing systems and database's problems troubleshooting, back-up and recovery;
Monitors the database's functionality and assures their availability;
Assists in database maintenance in areas such as access methods and times, validation checks, protection and security, documentation guidelines, statistical methods and database dictionaries;
Develops, documents, and implements operational support procedures for the Oracle infrastructure components;
Monitors standards and procedures, and integration of systems through database designs in order to maintain and enhance the integrity of the database;
Ensures optimal use of systems and database to achieve maximum business benefit.


CERINTE

Education:

University level, technical degree.

Experience:

Minimum 1 year of experience as an Oracle database administrator, particularly in relation to performance tuning, security, reliability, scalability, and capacity sizing, backup and recovery;

Knowledge:

Good understanding of Application Server concepts and technologies;
Good understanding of the underlying internet technologies (HTTP, TCP/IP, etc);
Good understanding of Oracle Database server concepts (RAC, Backup& Recovery, etc.);
Knowledge of UNIX and shells scripting;
Good command of English (spoken and written).

Skills:

Ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines;
Excellent organization and communication skills;
Excellent pro-active problem solving skills;
Able to prioritize tasks and adapt to change;
Customer-oriented.
