The Candidate
We are looking for a Data warehouse developer to join the Data warehouse development team. The developer will join a focussed team of developers. The individual should have experience as a data warehouse / BI developer, with a strong focus on building applications for enterprise scale using industry standard ETL & reporting tools. The company’s data warehouse plays a critical role in the functioning of the organisation, providing the key information to the business, which is critical for making the right decisions in a timely manner, and also plays a pivotal role in many of our business processes.
The Role
• Design / develop ETLs to load data into the data warehouse and integrate with various internal and external systems
• Design / develop Reports for the business users
• Working with the rest of Technology to develop various integrations between the data warehouse and 3rd party systems
• Tuning of all components of data warehouse to ensure optimal performance
• Responsible for full life-cycle from design of individual components through to release to production
• Working as part of a team to continually improve processes and procedures for implementing the data warehouse and BI solutions.
• Fluent English is essential
• 3+ years' experience in BI development
• Excellent knowledge of the whole BI stack – Database development, ETLs, Reporting etc.
• Experience working with enterprise-scale ETL tools
• Experience with Microsoft 2008 R2/ 2012 BI stack
• Knowledge of on-line industries and payment processing would be good, but is not essential
• Flexibility to work on complex highly scalable and mission-critical enterprise projects with international scope
• Strong commitment to a cooperative team approach
• Good communicator - primarily the ability to communicate ideas, standards and technical details to the development partners
• Good problem solver.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Systems, Information Services or related technical field or equivalent.
