The role entails the implementation of processes and applications which handle data which Telmap receives from different providers and of different types (GIS, XML¿¿¿s, CSV¿¿¿s) from many and process it according to the Server requirements.
Developing and maintaining data reception tools including server interfaces
Supporting relevant interfaces within the R&D group and with other groups as needed.
Initiating improvement and optimization of data tools & processes.
Analyzing and resolving data bugs.
In charge of keeping a coherent and structured data development environment
Requirements:
At least 3 years of programming experience
Strong programming mindset
Graduate in computer sciences or a similar field from a relevant university ¿¿¿must
Proven knowledge of Shell scripting and Unix environment (preferable knowledge/experience in using Ant and Perl)
Proven knowledge of Java/C/C++ (one or more)
Good English: both Speaking and writing
Familiarity with the GIS environments- an advantage
Experience working with/for Navteq/Tele Atlas ¿¿¿ an advantage
Personal characteristics:
Ability to deal with a huge amount of information
Ability for self learning as well as understand and master existing processes
Ability and willingness to improve existing processes
Creative
Very well organized
