Take part in a unique team within the UCMDB/DDM R&D team. The cord team is actively engaging with customers to develop content and integrations that extend the UCMDB/DDM offering, and include them in the standard delivery. The cord team is located today in the US, and looking for a candidate to extend into EMEA.
As a part of the cord team you will be working closely with many different internal and external groups including the content factory team, HP Support team, HP Product team, QA docs and more to take part in the development of HP UCMDB/DDM products which are in the center of the HP BTO Software portfolio.
The optimal candidate should have wide familiarity with many technologies, programming experience, passion for studying new environments and technologies. The candidate should be able to pick up complete tasks on his known, be able to learn new APIs and environments, set them up, and develop on top of them. He should also be able to work directly with customers, either remotely or on the customer site (mostly in EMEA).
Ability to work with a remote team and self discipline are very important factors, as the team members work remotely, and work is done usually without having management and other team members near by.. Travelling would be required as part of this job, up to 50% of the time (however it can be less than this).
A bachelor or above degree in computer-related fields
Strong background in Java or Jython or Python
Strong Knowledge in operating systems – Windows, Unix, Linux
Familiarity with complex environments that include virtualization, clustering etc.
Networking Background and understanding of the Enterprise IT World
Willing to travel to customers
Open-mind with good communication skills
Good Customer facing abilities
Strong trouble-shooting and problem solving skills
Solid English communication capabilities (verbal and written)
Self-motivated, initiative and passion for learning new technologies
