Job Summary
- Responsible for the preparation and integrity of financial reporting for specific legal entities within the country for local and US GAAP standards
- Responsible for implementing and performing Internal controls within are of financial accounting and reporting, cash disbursement and payroll
- Provide day to day business management of the Country's Controllership team and take leadership of project work
- Ensure efficient operation of the Payroll team and ensure accounting for payroll is compliant with statutory requirements, company policies and US GAAP
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate controllership business support: revenue recognition; accrual accounting; and control environment
- Ensure service delivery and reporting requirements are met, as required
- Manage cash and tax forecasting for specific entities
- Serve as the corporate financial representative for local external regulatory agencies
- Ensure adequate internal controls are in place including non-finance processes (e.g., payroll/procurement, etc.)
- Provide overall leadership of the Country Controllership team, specifically on matters such as team direction, new projects and staffing matters to ensure efficient team activities and facilitate accurate and efficient transaction processing
- Supervise the operation of the payroll accounting
- Ensure all accounts are properly reconciled on a monthly basis
- Ensure GAAP compliance and accuracy prior to audits
- Manage external and internal audit on financial accounts and processes
- Provide leadership in the country of the annual processes to develop cost and bill rates, load factors and other organizational database activities
- Provide day to day leadership and coaching of the country's controllership team, specifically relating to areas requiring business knowledge and an understanding of the client facing side of the business
- Drive US GAAP compliance within the country's controllership
- Provide day to day ad-hoc advice and assistance to the Geographic Controller, involving significant interaction with the Global Controllership team
- Significant Ad-Hoc Project Work
- Provide advice to new outsourcing contract opportunities
- Perform monthly review of financial results with OU finance teams
- Coordinate with other Finance functions (e.g., CFM – engagement reviews, engagement issues)
- Provide input to creation of Global Best Practices via the Global controllership team
- Manage, in accordance with Company tax, tax issues liaison with local management
- Perform annual review
- Education: Undergraduate Degree in Accounting or Finance
- Recommended Certifications, Licenses, etc: CPA or equivalent
- Work Experience: 10+ years financial/management accounting experience
- Extensive knowledge of UK GAAP
- Understanding of key business process and business environment
- Possess broad knowledge of internal control systems, internal organizational structures, financial analysis of corporate performance
- Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate financial concepts to people of all levels
- Demonstrates ability to lead negotiations in major transactions
- English proficiency
